If I Had $50,000 - by Jenny Alden.

"If I Was Given $50,000"
By: Jenny Alden

With that kind of cash, I would buy myself a 1 floor starter home. I'd save some of it
and grow interest. Iw ould donate some funds to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They have served my family a great deal. My husband and I owe them so much. Thanks, U of M! When, or if, I buy a starter home, I would make sure there was a studio out back. I'd put my kids in college so they can start life in a good manner.

Julie R. ... you there?

My favorite color is purple. Why is this my favorite color?

Because I like the way it looks me wearing it. And when I buy coloring books, I always color something purple. I like purple and it brings me out to look like a big grape. It brings back when I was in school. We always wore something purple.

Prompt Responses (Bet You Missed These) {Family pt.1}

In what way do you not fit in with the family you grew up in? Or, are you a perfect fit?

"Well, I wasn't around my family very much but we were all from different places. But we were from an all white background from London, England to America we were all poor trying to make it in this New World." - Lorrie W.

"I don't fit in because I speak my mind. I don't hold you with my mouth." -BabyGirl*

"They all have boyfriends and girlfriends. I do feel bad sometimes, and they have children. We all get along really well, though. I don't have a boyfriend or children, but I have a wonderful family." -Sheryl S.

Stories by Sheryl S...

 Spooky Night:

Spooky. Twelve teenagers sat around their campfire telling scary stories. One teenager just finished a story and - suddenly there was a howl... and a scream! A werewolf appeared before them. Silence!!! The End.

What a Day:

Yawn. "I am so sleepy," said Ed. Lying on a bed, he lay there looking at the ceiling. Thinking it was Thursday and what should he do. He closed his eyes for a few minutes... Opening his eyes he saw five skinny, green men around him. He was on a U.F.O. A silent scream and then...

Mr. Chicken:

"The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" cried Mr. Chicken.

"Waaahhhh!" went Miss Kitty, the cat.

"Oh, no!" went Tammy the cow.

"The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" cried Mr. Chicken.

"Wahhh! I'll never touch beer again!"

The End.

Today's Recovery Walk!

 Hello Readers!

It's Saturday, August 21st! Today is the day of Battle Creek's RECOVERY WALK. If you're in the area, I sincerely hope you'll make time to join us.

Registration starts at 9:00 A.M. but the walk itself is set to begin at 10:00 A.M.

Located at Lakeview Square Mall on Beckley Road, we are sure to have an amazing turn out.

Thankfully, there will be Air Conditioning - as walking for any cause is difficult in what will be 90*F weather.

The Recovery Walk has been quite successful in the past and we hope to make sure it is again.

However, please remember to adhere to the Federal Mandates concerning the CoVid19 Pandemic and the resulting variant strains which have subsequently mutated in response to the casual dismissal of masks and sanitizers.

Thank you and we all look forward to seeing you there!
